Animal Nutrition @ Forum Products

Our aims are to help and improve the economics of animal production and enhance
animal welfare via the supply of quality feed ingredients, finished products
and nutritional concepts. Research and development is key to our business and
we work closely with our suppliers, research organisations and universities, to
develop new products and concepts.
Within the UK and Ireland Forum is well known for its regular seminar
"Forum's Forum" where customers, suppliers and academics are invited
to discuss the latest developments in animal nutrition and health.
Key Areas in Forum
Animal Nutrition
Amino
Acids »
Lysine, Threonine and Tryptophan
These three amino acids are essential for healthy animal growth, maintenance
and production. They are the building blocks of protein and are required by the
animal for meat, egg and milk production. Carefully formulated rations
supplemented with these amino acids allow the feed producer to reduce the crude
protein level of feeds. This enables the farmer to maintain optimum animal
performance and at the same time reduce the output of nitrogen, thus helping to
preserve our environment.

Aromabiotic and Gali d'Or
- from Vitamex of Belgium
Aromabiotic (powder) and Gali d'Or (liquid) are based on a blend of medium
chain fatty acids derived from tropical plant sources. The products can be
provided to pigs and poultry through the feed or by drinking water and act by
controlling the balance of microflora in the intestine. In this way they help
to maintain a healthy and stable gut environment that allows animals to make
maximum use of the nutrients in their feed. Independent university and
commercial evaluations have shown Aromabiotic and Gali d'Or to outperform
currently available growth promoters, organic acids and alternative growth
promoters. The products have been shown to be effective against a wide range of
microorganisms including E.coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter and Clostridia.
