Amino Acids

The Ajinomoto Group was founded in Japan in 1909 when the company's first product, Monosodium L-Glutamate, an amino acid product, was launched under the brand name of AJI-NO-MOTO® (AJI-NO-MOTO®, which literally means "the essence of taste" in Japanese). Since 1909, amino acids have been used in the food, pharmaceutical, animal feed, cosmetic, toiletry, agriculture and many other industries.

Today the Ajinomoto Group is considered as a world leader in the amino-acid industry with 121 subsidiaries in 23 countries and 30,000 employees. We offer grades of amino acids that meet the requirements of the international pharmacopoeias (JP,USP and EP).
